About

I’m a writer of fiction.  I consider myself that because I write a lot, and it is mostly fiction.  I am not the kind of writer that gets paid money to turn out prose that people would gladly hand over their hard earned money to read, at least not yet.  That venue is reserved for more popular and talented writers of fiction.  I write because it is good for me.  I did punch out a 325 page manuscript two summers ago that was pure filth, sex, and masochistic babble.  It did make my friends laugh, which is really who I wrote it for in the first place.  For me writing is more about self expression and being involved in a project.  I only wish it paid so that I could spend more time dealing with my prose and less time dealing with so many people.  Perhaps a day will come. . .that’s it, just perhaps a day will come.

Adding to the fact that I am a writer, I am also an avid reader.  I enjoy many different genres of fiction, and am currently finishing my undergrad in Literature and Biology at Monmouth College in Illinois.  I spent 7 ½ years in the military as a corpsman in the Navy.  Nearly all that time was spent with 2nd Marine Division in Camp Lejeune, N.C.  I am a veteran of the Iraq war, and much of my fiction is based on my experiences while serving on active duty, even if vaguely.

I am married and have three children.  There is very little time when I am not surrounded by inspiration and a wealth of material for fiction.
